You'll notice that in his quote, the person is complaining specifically about the resolution. He's used to playing at 1920x1200, and as established, Onlive runs at 1280x720. Since 1920x1200 is greater than 1280x720, the resolution will seem low in comparison.[/QUOTE]

Not so much "low" as just hard to play....I signed up and started a game of Crysis Wars....My native resolution on my WS 22" is 1680X1050, and of course, It's kicked down to 1280X720. The result? I have to look HARD to see dropped weapons in the bush if I'm playing the campaign. (The "low" resolution causes the weapons to blend pretty perfectly with the ground.) 9 out of 10 times I've dropped an enemy and I have to play "find the easter egg" to get the weapon and press forward.

How much fun is a war game when you spend more time LOOKING for weapons than engaging the enemy?

Onlive seems to be kick ass in ALL OTHER WAYS, BUT, based on the resolution factor alone, I would not spend money for this service. Not being able to play games at native resolution, with a 12mb down cable connection, is the deal breaker for me.

LCD's are getting bigger and cheaper every day. Almost every computer bundled with a monitor is WS. How many gamers out there play at 1280X720 on a regular basis anyways?

Well the worst part about LCD monitors is that they look like crap outside their native resolution. If you could play in windowed mode, it would probably be much better.

You don't want having resampling artifacts mixed in with the compression artifacts... then necessarily texture/whatever artifacts in the geometry itself because no game has perfect texture density, etc.
