What pisses you off? (The story thread)

So I am creating this thread sort of as a bitch and moan thread about things OTHER than Onlive. Here is my story from today.

There is a deli next door to my work who is giving away free sandwiches all week for a promotion. I go into the deli and there are two people in line in front of me. One woman being handed her sandwich. The other woman was in a wheelchair with a gentleman waiting for there food.

The guy behind the counter hands the woman on the front of the line her sandwich and the woman in the wheelchair GETS UP OUT OF IT and walks at LEAST 5-6 feet with NO limp to complain about how she has been waiting for 25 minutes for her sandwich and how she has not gotten it yet. While she is complaining she is holding up the line and more and more people join behind me.

She proceeds to watch as the cook behind the counter cuts her FREE wrap in half for her convenience and notices there is cheese in it. She causes a huge scene and bitches the guy out. He apologizes and tells her it will only take two minutes to make a new one. She still keeps yelling at him telling him that this is unprofessional and she wants to speak with his boss. He tells her he is the manager. She starts questioning his authority.

At this point I am on my lunch break from work and awaiting my order. I got so annoyed with this woman I told her if she would just shut up and let the guy do his job then MAYBE I wont be stuck there for 20 minutes having to listen to her being an ungrateful person. She then tells me that her yelling at the guy is not holding up the line because he is not a cook. I told her I don't give a shit if he is or isn't, she is annoying and I just want my sandwich and to get back to work. She just looks at me in awe and amazement that I would say such a thing.

You see...I have two issues with this. #1 she is an ungrateful twat because she was complaining about something she is getting for free. #2 SHE GOT OUT OF HER WHEELCHAIR TO WALK OVER TO THE COUNTER TO COMPLAIN. #3 She PROCEEDS to WALK the wheelchair out the front door!!!

I really wanted to deck this woman in the face...

i work in a supermarket and i hate it when customers ask me where things are cause they can't be assed to look for themselves, i mean there is a colleague stood a few feet away from me whos job it is to help these customers but they always ask me, the colleague is just stacking shelves whilstt i usually am on my hand and knees cleaning the fkin edges of the floor, i mean come on i think to myself fkin look around and do your own fkin shopping will ya, it wouldnt be so bad but im on my hands and knees working very hard and it just really pisses me off, we are taught as part of our training to smile at these people and help them as much as we can but for fk sake man that really pisses me off. Now if a fine end asks me where something is well thats another story.

I can only imagine. I remember when I use to work retail. It was one of the most aggravating experiences of my life. Now I do call center work which is pretty much retail on the phone..baby steps I suppose.

There is nothing that irks me more than a "privileged customer".

I get the guy behind the counter working hard, I can relate to him. i totally agree with you, Dafreakzo. Here is my similar story which occurred about three weeks ago.

I walked into a Walgreens after I got off of work to purchase an E-Cig. There was an older lady in front of me with a shopping cart (shopping carts at walgreen piss me off) waiting to pay for some shitty "Walgreens" toys. Most of the toys she bought were priced at $2.49. She had three more products that were priced as follows "Buy two get one free for $10.49" and the other box read "three for 10.49".

First off, she could not grasp the concept stated on the box. If you buy three toys no matter what is written on the box, they come out to each $3.49 give or take a penny. She continued to yell at the lady at the counter saying "You're ripping me off" and over charging for the products. Girl behind counter broke down and let her have the toys at $2.49, so instead of paying full price she now has to pay $9 for three toys.

This was not enough for her and now needed to speak to a manager. So the mean old lady turns to me and says "They hire the dumbest people, this is so aggravating I'm sorry I'm holding up the line."

I took a deep breathe and said "Don't apologize to me, you should apologize to the poor girl who gave you a discount." Part of me wanted to leave the line and just go home but i just stood there throwing dirty looks at the old hag. She ended up not buying the last three toys even with the discount, Never apologized or thanked anybody. This is why I play FPS games.

There will always be a handful of people that were born only to get on retail employee's last nerve.

And Goofboy. Shitty co-workers...bllaaaarrrgggr!

I was working as a supervisor in a shipping department. I was always busy in the morning and then the Vice president of the company walks in. At the time, he was rather obese and his office was only 1 floor up from my Shipping room. The company vacuum cleaner was in my room. So he sees me working my butt off, as this is happening, he says to me can you bring the vacuum cleaner up to my office.

Normally a task like this doesn't bother me in the least but this guy was only 1 floor up from mine. The elevator was only 10 feet from my room. He could have easily taken the vacuum up himself but maybe it was beneath him being the Vice president. He also could have taken the stairs ( 1 flight) because he could have used the excercise. Anyway I couldn't believe his laziness.

My god..I really hate people like that and do not understand how they function during every day life.

Funny thing about that story ..which will lead me into yet another story.

I was at Walgreens about a month ago looking at the bluecig starter kits behind the side of the counter. I walked behind the counter with permission from the woman behind the cash register and started examining the box. I put it down then walked around the whole store deciding if I wanted to spend the money on the pack. I walked back over to the same register and went behind it to pick up the box and this new guy behind the counter started yelling at me saying not to go behind the counter. I told him I got permission from the last girl who worked there to do it. He proceeds to tell me "she is stupid and does not know what she is saying". I told him I don't care what he says I am a paying customer and I want to look at the product. He then tells me I have to wait on the line at the register behind five people who are bring rung up. Once I get to the counter he can hand it to me to look at.

I told him im not going to fucking wait and to stop being an asshole. He tells me not to use that language with him and they have cameras recording. I told him that's great and i don't care what cameras are recording because he is being a prick. He then says hes going to call the cops. I put the box down and walk passed the counter and proceed to tell him he is an asshole and wished hell upon him and his family. Then walked out.

Yes in a way I was the asshole customer..but in another way that guy was being a huge prick.

So yesterday I went to subway for lunch and I asked for my usual, a turkey ham, cheese, and lettuce. The guy that would normally put it together tells me that they are out of bread, and, naturally I ask when they will be restocked. Guess what he tells me. TOMORROW.

I mean surely if you are OUT of bread and it's a SUBWAY the natural decision is to close it! I had to rush to the KFC around the block(Closest food retailer) and get one of those over-priced snackbox things.
