Risen 2: Dark Waters, Darksiders II and Assault Heroes 2 Are Coming to OnLive

Matt Jensen, Community Manager of OnLive held another one of his entertaining Ustream Livecasts today, in which he made several announcements on behalf of OnLive.

As a special guest on the show this week, Jensen spoke with Aubrey Norris, Community Manager for Deep Silver. Deep Silver is the publisher of Dead Island, and upcoming Action RPG Risen 2: Dark Waters.

Norris informed Jensen and those listening to the live video cast that Risen 2: Dark Waters will be coming to OnLive. The game is set to release on PC on April 27, and on Xbox 360/PS3 on May 22. There is no timetable for when it will be coming to the OnLive service, but we were informed that it would be coming soon after its official release. Norris explained the game as being a classic RPG, where there are multiple ways to solve quests.

Here is a brief story of the game, courtesy of the Official Risen 2 website.

Many horrible years have passed since the Gods abandoned the world and the titans rose from the confines of their prisons. They devastated everything in their path with unstoppable force.

However, there is a place on the southern tip of the Old Empire which still seems safe from the clutches of the Titans – the “Crystal Fortress” in Caldera. It is the headquarters of the Inquisition and a place of refuge for the people. It is repeatedly attacked by sea monsters, and supply ships are sunk en route. Nobody knows how long the walls will hold; food and weapons are gradually running out.

The nameless hero, devastated by the developments on Faranga, now drowns his sorrows in rum in the harbour town Caldera. As the situation grows more and more dire due to the shortage of food, he sets out on a mission to put an end to the sea monsters once and for all.

During his adventurous journey he not only faces new and immense challenges, he also meets old acquaintances who help him on his quest.

Darksiders II

In addition to Risen 2, Matt Jensen also informed us that Darksiders II will be coming to the service in the future. No date was given for the expected release of this title either. However, many OnLive fans have been wondering if this game would in fact be brought to the service.

Assault Heroes 2

Assault Heroes 2, is also coming to the OnLive service in “a couple of weeks” according to Jensen. The game which is being brought over from Xbox Live will be a “controller only” game.

Which of these games are you looking forward to seeing on OnLive? Let us know at OnLiveFans.com Forum.
