OnLive Launches In UK with Huge Electronic Arts Surprise + 30 More Coming Soon Game Titles

BulletStorm EAWe were teased and tormented for months about what OnLive’s launch in the United Kingdom meant.  Fans everywhere were aligning the stars and interpreting hidden messages from random Tweets.  For many, September 22 couldn’t arrive soon enough.  That day has finally arrived and OnLive has delivered with a great big hug and kiss.  After many, many questions, e-mails, chain-letters, and Twitter campaigns, the first Electronic Arts games since OnLive’s official launch will be arriving.

Among a list of impressive titles from many publishers, OnLive fans everywhere can expect to play EA’s Bulletstorm.  This game has been given lavish praise from critics with an average Metacritic score of 84 out of 100.  Some critic remarks include; “An exceptional shooter brimming with personality and originality” and “Bulletstorm will be a humorous, tongue-in-cheek romp that distinguishes itself from the other samey sci-fi or military shooters clogging up the genre.”

While we have no definitive word from OnLive or EA about any other future EA titles, this can only mean positive things from here.  OnLiveFans recently did an article about the huge spike in the number of players.  Adding UK players to the list will undoubtedly draw many more players.  All of this adds up to nothing but positive news and hopefully more future EA games.   While we don’t know if this means a Battlefield 3 release, we can certainly hope.

The best news is, we are not done with the positive news.  Certainly the coming of EA games is exciting, but so is the coming of several other games.  Between the amazing OnLive games team and the HUGE support of OnLive fans everywhere, many awesome games are set to come to an internet connection near you.  Here is the complete official list of OnLive’s coming soon games:

Now for some fun detective work.  Some of these games we knew or assumed were coming based on earlier interviews and OnLive’s partnerships.  However, taking a look at the list of games, we can see other partnerships, such as Activision and Microsoft.   Microsoft is the publisher of Orcs Must Die.   Sierra, who makes Assault Heroes 2, is owned by Activision Blizzard.  Several of these other titles have also only been on Windows Live or Xbox.  No matter how you slice this delicious pie, things are about to get very interesting….
