OnLive took home quite a few awards in 2011 for their innovative cloud gaming technology. Today, MCV announced the finalists for their 2012 Retail Awards.

There are 6 different sub-categories in the “Retail” section for their awards. They include: Independent Retailer, Star Store, Digital Retailer, Digital Retail Innovation, Specialist Retailer, & Mainstream Retailer.

OnLive is one of the five finalists in the “Digital Retail Innovation” category. The other 4 finalists that they are up against are:
- FIFA 12 Ultimate Edition (EA)
- Moshi Monsters merchandising & magazine (Mind Candy)
- Portal 2 PS3 (EA/Valve)
- Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure (Activision)

This year’s MCV Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 19th in the Lancaster London Hotel. It is the 10th Anniversary of the event. The winners from each category will be chosen by a judging panel which consists of over 100 senior executives from around the industry. Could OnLive be a winner? Stay tuned to find out!
