Subscription to threads

Everytime I post in a thread it automatically subscribes me to it and then whenever someone posts a reply it spams my inbox with emails. I've tried going to subscriptions and deleting them but there appears to be no option to permanently turn off email notification. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, its very easy. Go to 'User CP' Then click 'Edit Options' on the left. Scroll down to subscriptions and select 'Do Not Subscribe' from the list.

I tested out a bunch of forum subscriptions last night. This morning I have forum notifications for all the forums that have new threads. I got 7 of them. Some of the forums have more than one new thread in them, but I was alerted there was something new to each of the forums I had subscribed to.

1. click settings (upper right hand corner of website)
2. Mouse to General Settings (left side bar)
3. On Default Subscription Mode click 'do not Describe'

Ha no problem. It was bugging me because i was manually turning them off on every post.

And that wasn't going to work out for my sanity.

i would delete the older posts though because i think (correct me if i'm wrong) the method has changed since the site updated.
