View Full Version : NEW OnLiveFans.com Rules - All must obey
Due to the fact that we have been having a lot of name calling recently from particular members, we believe it is time to introduce some more specific rules. Please read these rules at: http://onlivefans.com/misc.php?do=showrules

I'm a fan of the appropriate inappropriate language!
Really though, we held off on the rules for quite a while. There were some that we just unspoken that had been violated. There was a point where we needed to come up with some rules.
Thanks to Darq (Justin) for coming up with the rules. Its something I had been meaning to do for a long time but never got around to it.
I'm glad everyone is on board. :)

What if you were trash talking and your opponent you were trash talking knew that you didnt mean it, and went along with trash talking you back? Then one day when you go to onlivefans to type up a topic you were thinking about talk about. (no racism of course) Would this be accepted? Not talking about talking about someone thats totally disrespectful. but just to talk trash about their game play.
(I know I have many misspelled words....I rushed this.)

Haha! This is pretty confusing. It's unlikely that a moderator would take any action against two individuals who are simply messing around, as long as their language isn't offending others (ie, racial or discriminatory). Still, if by some chance you did find yourself suspended just shoot an admin a private message and we'd be happy to look into for you.
These rules aren't here to make you feel like you need to constantly watch your back or a moderator is going to get you. We don't want to take action. A lot of behind the scenes discussions from the staff is how we're a bunch of softies, which is yet another reason why it took so long for us to even post rules. :)

We were trying to kind of be relaxed on this. The recent happenings have made us look into making a set of rules. These were kind of extreme circumstances and promted the action. You would normally be warned before and go from there. So feel free to trash talk. Just keep it clean and somewhat friendly. Lol.

It got way out of hand. This forum is the most official, unofficial OnLive forum. You don't want those kinds of posts on the forum representing the OnLive community. Lots of bigoted things. This isn't Xbox Live.
Good on this decision.
