Would it be possible to make the onlivefans blog icon on the forum boards to blink where there is a new post? This might get a few more people over to check out the blogs.

May as well post this in here.
Had an exam today so felt like a break from revision and decided to try my hand at some gfx work for the OnLive Blog.

Felt the current background was a bit random so thought a more 'OnLivey' theme was in order. I presume this will fit perfectly if you choose to use it, but i've not been able to test it myself.

Solid sides:

Faded sides:

It's getting late and I rushed the top bar because the grid background took the majority of the night to get right.
Any comments and crit are welcome:
- What do people think of the colour scheme for the grid and the blue light?
- Any ideas to make the top bar better?
- Should the grid expand further down?

These things and others should be easy to change now that the basic layout is made. I'll have some time this weekend to try different things but after that i'm very busy with college revision for 3-4 weeks.

Cheers,
Jim

I think it looks great. The grid really reminds me of the whole thousands of videos of the people playing games when OnLive starts up. Also, the only thing I would change would be the blue color. I would probably make it the OnLive orange. Good luck and great job!

Darq is the one who did the excellent job designing the blog. I'm fine with the way it is now. Let's see what his opinion is on the background. As for the blinking button. It isn't possible as far as I know. I will try and work something out though.

Ok, now if you visit: http://www.onlivefans.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 (The news article folder) you will see a folder with the blog posts.
These are only abreviated though, so you must click the link to see the whole article.

Made a few changes and added the text so you can see exactly how it would look.

Any thoughts on improvement? If you still prefer the current design i'll shut up and stop messing about with these.

I like it, but it isn't really up to me. The only thing I would change about it now would be to center the OnLiveFans banner on the blog (I would change that on the design the blog has now too, but I understand that everyone is really busy, so it isn't really a big deal). But anyways, great job.

I for one am really impressed by it Jimex, I think it looks great. I personally think it looks and feels better than the current theme for the blog. Great job!

Thanks Alex, the only thing I would of really liked to have done is to of had a different picture in each square of the grid to make it really Onlive authentic, but it was complicated enough just to make whats there now, and I have no idea how i'd go about filling them with pictures.

Both are solid, but Jimex's would get my vote.

Hey Jimex! This is a great theme! Would you mind creating a poll that's open for 3-4 days, and at the end we can move forward with the results? Whatever the membership base wants is what I'm interested in, not anything else. ;)

Thank you, by the way, for dedicating some of your own time to helping this community. First with our banner/logo and now with this. On behalf of the entire management team, I just wanted to express our gratitude.

Jimex, I've received a lot of excellent feedback about your work and would love to move forward with implementing it. If you wouldn't mind linking the latest design, or shooting me a private message with a link. I and the entire management team of OnLiveFans.com greatly appreciates your efforts. Thank you! :)
