Well, I haven't heard this officially, but hear me out...
Of course they will work on the pc, because they said any controller that works on the pc, will be able to be used for the service, and the wired 360 controller being one of the main used controllers for pc gaming, there is no doubt that is working.
but what about on the microconsole, it has 2 usb ports, but your thinking the same way you would think about plugging up that 360 controller into a ps3 usb port. not gonna work, its a completely different console.
WRONG. according to onlive.com the microconsole will support pc controllers too. and like i said, the 360 controller is a major pc controller, so....
and of course the wireless ones aren't gonna sync with the wireless on the microconsole, im only talking about the wired controller. (maybe even the 360 pc wireless adapter would work on it, that would be crazy.)

Just more evidence of an imminent Microsoft buyout of OnLive.
Just everything about this service screams "Buy us Microsoft!"

I would expect that even the wireless xbox 360 controllers would work. But I am almost certain that anything with a USB will be supported.

Will it work if you got the USB charger thingy and connect that to the microconsole?

sadly the answer is no, for the same reason it wont work like that with the pc. I don't think a lot of people realize that there is no actual connectivity happening when you hook up that cable, the only thing it was designed to do is charge the battery, its still communicating with the 360 through the wireless connection.
I personally think that was a stupid decision by microsoft, but whatever. They did release a usb wireless adapter a while back to use wireless controllers on the pc. So with that you could use it if you were running onlive on your pc/mac but I am not sure if that device will work with the microconsole or not. It would be sweet.

Personally I am not to worried about it, since the microconsole supports up to 4 wireless controllers and their controllers look close enough to the 360 controllers for me.

Oh, you mean the 360 plug'n'play thing to charge the battery. I would think so, but only if it supports PC. If your talking about something like an Ipod or something, then I would say yes, but only if they have a driver.
EDIT: Outlawed beat me too it. This is a no go.

360 controllers work for everything. They even use it to control military robots. I'm sure the "production" versions are "ruggedized" and made "marine proof". But the 360 controller seems to be adapted for every use wherever you can.

Anyway, The Onlive controller looks very similar anyway, and it has the fast forward/play/stop/rewind/brag clip buttons.
And the microconsole had wireless connectivity anyway, so it might work regardless.

yea when you plug it in, it will automatically sync with the 360 but thats all it does. Just just try plugging one to your computer and see if it picks up, and you will see. But when you plug in a wired controller, detects it right away.
And I can guarantee you, unless something happens between microsoft and onlive before release, it wont be able to use the 360 controller wireless. Not even third party 360 controllers can be wireless, so they wouldn't license the writes to use it to a completely different console.

I like the criticism. We need more people like Cloudy 1 to spread the word and make post. Onlive gets away with way too much BS. Have you checked the coming soon list lately? Knowing Onlive's track record I would kind of be surprised if half those games ended up on the servers and unfortunately Onlive has a bad reputation when it comes to releasing games that actually matter. You don't want to release World of goo or Bloodrayne or some shit like that....fine but don't you dare pull back on games like Driver, Far Cry 2, and Bioshock 2.
