Hey, I have a lot of experience in websites and forums. I'd like to share some suggestions with you guys.

1. You need to broaden and expand your forum.
This is a new 'Console' so to speak coming out so the forums will be launching daily for it. The forum which looks most appealing and user friendly will win the race.
Forum appearance, as far as layout is great. However, it is lacking with boards. People wont join or would be reluctant to join because they have no where to talk. It's a 'community' so let people feel at home.

Introduction Forum - Call it "Member Introductions" for example. Members will feel more welcome into your 'community' by posting introductions, listing some information about themselves, and having others welcome them in.

Gaming Discussion - Could be a Parent Category with game genres as Child Forum. This will be great for added community activity.

Other Consoles - A forum for people to talk about other consoles. OnLive isn't up yet... no one has it. So give us a place to talk about current consoles, etc.

The whole idea to creating more forums is to pinpoint discussions to certain areas. When you have general forums for different topic (that relate to the site genre) it gets rid of clutter. When this site really takes off you will have thousands of posts in off-topic about introductions, politics, xbox, ps3, basketball, work, girls, halo 3, etc. People want 'order.' They don't want to use the 'search' option. The longer something takes to find, the more likely they will stop looking for it and leave.
Kill your competition before it even emerges. Be the first OnLive 'Community.' Don't wait for another one to pop up with what I have written above and turn to having to copy them.
This site 'should' be big, but for it to be big it needs to expand.

Glad to be amongst the first members and I will be very active and contribute a lot. I plan on buying this as soon as it comes out!
Also, admin, contact me when you get a chance.

You have to keep in mind that kinks are still getting worked out and things getting arranged properly. This is a pretty new forum after all.

That said. those are excellent ideas. we will absolutely take all suggestions into account. the input of all forum members is welcomed to help this forum grow as a community.

ok so hows this sound:

we keep all current threads

Make a:
General Gaming Discussion
Other Gaming Consoles
New Members
threads

I'm assuming we could stick new members under the Forum Help area and would stick the other two under general discussion

one thing I might add by the way is that I'm not the one who makes these changes or gives the final say on them. I can however relay these to others who can.

Best thing would be to separate OnLive discussion from general.
So simply make a new category and have gaming, gaming consoles, introductions, off-topic in those.
And in the future expand to graphics forums, technology forums, etc.
Appreciate your support.
