i actually discovered a lot more older albums in 2010 then contemporary ones, but those are some good ones.

So anybody have a 2010 album i should hear before the year is over?

I don't listen to too much new stuff as there's such a volume of old works to listen to, I rarely find (current year) contemporary albums. here's my As-Close-To-Top Ten List.


1. 1983 - Sophie Hunger (Singer Songwriter)

2. Never Stop - The Bad Plus (Experimental Jazz)

2. Red Dead Redemption Soundtrack - Bill Elm and Woody Jackson (Western)

3. Live in Las Vegas - Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds (Acoustic, Pop-Rock, Jam)

4. Dark Night of the Soul - Danger Mouse And Sparklehorse (Alt Rock)

5. Trans-Continental Hustle - Gogol Bordello (Gypsy Punk)

6. Fly Yellow Moon - Fyfe Dangerfield (Indie-Pop)

I didn't hear P.O.S. - Never Better (2009) or Sights and Sounds - Monolith (2009) until 2010, does that count? Those are probably my top 2 in the past 5 years.

None of the albums this year that I've heard have been all that memorable. The latest Deftones album has a few gems on it... I guess the only real good one has been The Birthday Massacre's Pins and Needles, and the new Bring Me The Horizon (who I couldn't really tolerate listening to before) has really grown on me in the past few weeks.
