Really the old look of the boards was so much better, it went with the color scheme of the onlive service. Oh well never mind, I guess I just got to get used to it. It's just funny on the eyes.

Yea, I'm a bit confused myself. This color scheme if not my favorite.

I really do not like this new look.
Its annoying, harder to read and overall ugly.
I'm annoyed at webmasters that do unnecessary updates.

Does this have to do with ******************* starting up and using the same layout? Just curious as they came out yesterday and then you guys updated today. May be coincidence or maybe the forum software just release an update so both of you guys used it.

Onlive upgraded Vbulletin to the latest version which did not support the old template. Please bare with us while we change templates and get everything looking nice.

Thanks for updating the look. This forums new look is much better now. But still I like the old version, not the one before this. The one before that which we were all use to for all these months.

Moving to the appropriate topic forum.
Guys and Gals, We were using Vbulletin Software Version 3.8.1 and the latest version was 4.0.4. It's been a long time since we upgraded, and it needed to be done because of some hacking issues we had. I have been working with the style templates all day, and have come up with this new one. It's one I think we can all get used to. No one ever likes changes, but we do tend to get used to them.
VBulletin 4.0.4 will allow us to implement the new VB CMS technology, which will allow us to create many useful tools for the OnliveFans community. We will have an all new blog, as well as many other features in the coming weeks.

I DON'T LIKE THIS
Dark websites don't work. Period. Do you see google with a black background. Popular sites use light colors
This is sad. and I don't like the onlive menu cause its dark as well but this is worse
Agreed. This is really hard on the eyes to look at. It's almost an inconvenience to browse this forum now. I'll most likely stop visiting because of it.
Im liking this black and orange, but it can still use some more improving with some color here and there. I built websites in the past, but never a forum before.
If it's really a problem, I'd imagine users could select a lighter theme, if the admins wish to enable theme selection and upload a lighter theme.
We will more than likely have more than 1 template that you can choose from. Just give us some time please. We just upgraded today :)

As stated previously, we just updated today, and we will be working on it for a while. If any of you would like to do a few mockups for how you would like it to look, feel free and we'll take a look at them and see what we can do.

I'm fine with the site, only its a little hard to see the bold, italicize, and underline tools.

I don't have a problem with the dark look. Just my two cents.
From my experience, there are always people that will dislike changes. It is impossible to please everyone all at once :)

I'm actually a fan. It has a good look that matches the OnLive color scheme. Looks better than that OTHER OnLive site started by a couple of our former members.

I'm a black person, pun sorta intended, so I'm actually liking the new color scheme. It goes well with my monitor, desk, and room.

The reason popular sites use light is because they're casual users. Dark sites are usually aimed at hardcore gamers, like me.
I like the skin. Awesome. :)

Hardcore, underground, edgy, stick-it-to-conformity shtuffs man!
lol I like it too, but I think the 'dark sites = hardcore' concept is a little generic. I'm certain there's more to the argument then that (and you may well be right), but this is not the place for me to futz with the idea. That and I'm a lousy futzer. lol
Still, nice look. Good job.

Can we get different color schemes please? At least one that's black text on white?

Yeah seriously... how hard is it to upload a free template for us to choose in the cpanel that doesn't rape our eyes? This is one of the most annoying forum templates I've ever seen. Any site designer with an ounce of knowledge in the field knows white on black is a TERRIBLE idea.

As generic as it sounds or looks - the hardcore niche usually go for darker websites, not light. The casual gamers go for the light sites. I don't think OnliveFans is looking for casual users at this point - they're gunning for the hardcore market. Reason being that most hardcore gamers are very loyal - dare I say, extremely loyal to hardcore gaming. Therefore, it would be easier to attract them with this kind of skin, AND keep them coming back [with more content].
Guys, I have added new styles. The Black is the default style, but there are 2 others that you can choose from that have black text on a white background.

I'll take your word for it on the dark=hardcore thing. I have absolutely no frame of reference at this point. lol As for OnLiveFans wanting a hardcore audience, I think you're right on the money.
