For example...
Would you still get it if it didn't have split screen? What about the feature to watch others play? And if they where to get rid of your favorite feature, would you still buy it?

We don't exactly know all the features that will be on Onlive, but I say my favorite feature is playing games, if they took that away...well...it wouldn't be much of anything. :P

Playing games isn't really a feature, it's more of something that we already know it's going to have...

I know, I was just joking, but if they were to take away the ability to watch other people play before jumping into the game I would be disheartened, because being able to view others skill level before playing them would help provide a more challenging, fulfilling game experience.

Agreed alex, still I can already tell there will be some newb hunting via that system for quick kill/death increases.

In game chat in any game? I know its something simple but its something i dont get with PS3 and the fact you dont have to have the game - you can just be linked up and start guiding someone else through a game or something. So i guess thats combined into the spectate feature?

Split screen would be pretty important. I guess that only counts if you're going to have more than just PC games though.

Some kind of "stats tracker" feature would be cool. Such as, how many games played/beaten. How many hours you logged for each game, even total.

Maybe the ability to play in a windowed mode. I say this because generally when I'm playing games on my PC, I chat with friends as well in a seperate window.

Maybe the ability to watch your friend play in a "picture in picture" window.

A big concern I've been hearing from my friends is about games we already own. Are we going to have to re-buy them to play them on Onlive? Now I understand, if we already own them, we can just play them without having to use Onlive, but lets say that we want to play it on Max settings, or just have a universal place where all of our games are stored. That's a BIG deal with quite a few of my friends. And I don't really blame them. I have at LEAST 6 games on my Steam account and a few more off of them.

Also, are you able to access your account from multiple computers? Or are you stuck with just one computer? I personally have a desktop and a laptop, and it would be nice to be able to jump on my laptop on break at school and game away.

In game messaging? Chat? Sending pictures/videos and the like.

Achievement system?

Hope that's enough questions for ya. lol

Don't get me wrong, I'm really interested and have even signed up for the beta, so here's to hoping it comes out well.

Couldn't agree more, i've always thought this would be a logical advancement from just the raw "achievements" system, by tracking all stats AND achievements.

Another big thing i want, i'm nearly always on MSN when i am on my PC but i presume the Alt+Tab will still change the window so... If you didn't already know about that it works pretty much universally, some game codes crash thought if its full screen and they are minimised.

All you have to do is log in to any microconsole, PC/Mac that has the plug in installed and you instantly have all your carried over games, game saves and basically still your account. Its the same system as, you can log into, for example, facebook on any computer and all your photos are still stored.

No one knows if theres a cross game messaging system, but the can talk to people by spectating them even during an offline game. Once again, we know you can upload videos (picture will probabaly be allowed too), but i cant see why they wouldn't allow direct sending; unless its too much strain on their servers ;) (Thats a joke by the way haha).
Yes to an achievement system but no details revealed yet =P

And welcome to the forums! =)

I did know about alt+tab, but I have a fairly big monitor so I like to run it in a window and talk to my friends without having to alt+tab. Like you said, it has a habit of crashing games, and sometimes they never reload. I also stream games on pwned.com and some games don't stream well unless you have them in windowed mode.
The Multiple computer thing is a BIG plus, really glad to hear that.
Also, thanks for the welcome!

I am thinking that I would really like low latency. I don't know if this really counts as a feature, but I would consider this critical. I would like to see cross game voice chatting and also some sort of video chat. Also I would like a feature to look up players that are near your location.

For me, the most important feature would be a functional way to manage your friends, online social groups, and find other like-minded gamers. I know that OnLive intends for their service to have a focus on the social and community aspects of gaming.

For me it is a clan system. :)

I forget, did they say they would definitely have this feature?

I cannot recall off the top of my head any solid confirmation of this feature. On this same token, there hasn't been much commitment to the finer details of OnLive.

Someone really should transcribe the GDC video, and other video interviews. This is one thing I hate about audio/video interviews, that I'm unable to search for specific key phrases for reference later.

Steve was just running through features and dropped a few words related to clans in the mix in one of his interviews so its a pretty safe bet. I will try and find the interview if i can; the first GDC one has been removed?

It has been removed from where? It is still located in our videos forum: http://onlivefans.com/showthread.php?t=74

Yeah, they put it in the same topic as Part 2. I am pretty sure that is it.

Well, google has come out with basically a search for words within videos. I don't know how accurate it is and I think it only works with select videos, but I expect it on youtube pretty soon.

Most important feature is 1920x1200 resolution, built in chat like xfire but then for OnLive and I want to have good colors.

Don't expect 1200p for awhile. No console has that, so I wouldn't expect it to happen on OnLive for awhile, because they have the added strain of the whole internet issue. So all that means is it will be console quality for probably at least the first year, but I don't know when they will have 1200p, let alone 1080p/i.

1280x720 is not really a resolution you would use on pc though.
More like 1280x800 at least.

Yes, I agree, and I think that it will look fine on PC's, like a PS3 or 360 doesn't look only 720p on a PC but it does on a TV. You know what I mean? It looks higher res, simply because it is on a smaller screen.

I thought that too but no. I used to play pc games on an HD tv (1360x768) even higher than 720p. On pc games it doesn't work so nice with the interfaces. You will feel limited in space. On console games its different because of less interface and text on screen.
