I'd say that is a fair estimate, Aphotic.

007, the majority definitely are NOT spammers. The spammers are deleted as soon as they are found, and that is generally very quickly. So we do actually have 800 REAL members. We are being real. And why stop with the updates? It isn't like it is a hassle to not read them.

I appreciate where you're coming from, 007. I am often playing the role of a skeptic, too. :)

We're just celebrating in our expansion and growth here; there's no gimmick. If the thread is bothering you I apologize. I recommend just steering clear of this thread if it causing any frustration. There are many other topics I invite you to participate in, aside from this one.

Hey I just hate it when people try to overstate their importance. I love this whole concept. Glad to be here. I can't wait to see OnLive evolve. Been a gamer since 1980. Have friends all over the industry.

It isn't really overstating our importance. It is just us being proud to see the community growing from under 100 to over 800. I know for sure I am.

We actually understate our importance, and should probably have a larger focus on our expansion. Again, I am sorry if this offends you 007. If you have any positive recommendations on how we could best approach this subject please let us know. We're very receptive to what our community feels, and pursue every suggestion or idea that is presented to us. :)

The rate in which we're growing continues to increase. Although we're noticing that there are a lot of individuals that are registering and making only a few (or no) posts, then just logging in to keep up-to-date on the community, this is still great! We are looking into how we can increase participation from the community, but we love the lurkers too! ;)

Also, I think that once the Beta starts, loads of info will be unveiled, as we will be able to see it all for ourselves. That is, those of us who make it into the beta, which I hope will be all of us, but who knows. I'm sure that at least one of us will be selected, though hopefully more.

But concerning the beta, I hope this isn't a "joke". Because a member once called onlive and asked them when the beta will launch and they answered August. So technically they still have this week to launch it. :)
