Currently on PC you download a beta via a download file from filefront etc...
On xbox you usually download it via the redeem code option, how do you think onlive will be handling game betas?

Probabaly a similar internal system (codes etc.). Or perhaps even more simpler? Since they will need to host the beta content on a server, perhaps they could just have it so that only those selected for the beta can physically view the beta conent (i.e. they are the only people that can see the game on their list and are allowed to access the server that the game is running on)

It will be a web page that you go to, then you will click a button and go full screen. I am willing to bet the client is based on either silverlight or flash.

B1553r, i think he was talking about external game betas ON the service, as opposed to the actual OnLive beta. Correct me if im wrong Tyro :)

OIC, thats what I get for posting after skimming. Well I imagine since there is no download involved... I imagine if you are selected for a beta while inside the service, it will just appear in your menu of options, and you will get a message over the OnLive message service however they decide to do that.

Let's see. Perlman has stated something like a publisher/developer being able to select user that they want to view or play the beta.

So, in my estimation you will be able to go to the publisher/developer's website and then fill out a form. If the publisher then selects you as an eligable beta tester they will add you to a SQL database or something and the game is then accessible on your OnLive account.

This is a really an awesome beta testing system for developers. Without having to worry about downloads or versions for beta testers, they will always have the latest available for testing.
