OnLive Transforms The Way We Play
By Porcelina
It’s revolutionary, slick, stylish, and surprisingly small; OnLive could quite possibly be the next big thing in gaming. It’s true, OnLive is keen on becoming more than just a mediocre micro-console.
It allows you to connect to every game imaginable using a simple PC or standard Television, with just a tiny box and a couple of cables. You can stream all the latest, smokin’ hot console titles in the blink of an eye, be part of a community with limitless interactive possibilities, and even record yourself in the midst of pure pwnage.
OnLive is appealing to gamers in a way that’s yet to be seen and although there isn’t any information on pricing as of yet, OnLive promises to save gamers time, trouble, and money. If I could rid my room of every death cord and gain back every penny I’ve spent on hardware upgrades, I’m sure I’d be a happy camper. Since that’s only wishful thinking, I’d be happy to alleviate the repetition, at least.
My biggest question is “who’s supporting this monster?” Well, who isn’t supporting OnLive? Gamers aren’t the only ones looking forward to the release of OnLive. The list of supporters is already long with partners such as Ubisoft, EA, and THQ, along with other big names fully on-board and ready to deliver a list of popular video-game titles.
Some Features of OnLive include:
Try before you buy.
Play from your MAC, PC, or TV
Play & patch any game, instantly.
Zero high-end hardware.
Spec Tate with millions, at the same time.
Record game play.
Public Beta begins later this year, so hopefuls can sign-up for an invitation as well as OnLive’s newsletter through the official website.
I may become a faux PC gamer again, I could just cry.
