Ok, on the 13th of the month, Tubachristmas was held in Grand Rapids, MI (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSHujtJkwoQ), prior to the GRCC christmas concert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRe6SZysbMw&feature=channel). This is an event that happens all across the world, where Tuba and Euphonium players come together to play Christmas Music, ranging from a handful (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvQ8l3_9pkY&feature=related), to hundreds of players (450+ in this example) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=948nLsHOkc4). It's not supposed to be a serious performance, but it sure is a heck of a lot of fun.
PS, if you're going to watch the GRCC Christmas concert, you may or may not want to skip the first 35 minutes of the video, because the first band, GRCC Concert Band, is made up of non Majors that wouldn't cut it in our Wind Ensemble. That said, I'm not a music major myself (yet, I may end up making the switch) and I'm in Wind Ensemble anyways :P The Concert Order was Concert Band, Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, and Wind Ensemble, with small groups in between.
