Let's see what everyone's running! I'll start off by setting the bar low... really REALLY low.
I'm running a Gateway MX6431 laptop (http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Q106/BladeK8F/1014121Rsp2.shtml) which I upgraded the RAM to 2 gigs from 512 Megs (yes, megabytes), and have installed Windows 7 Professional on (Gotta love the MSDNAA, got it for free :D) I've owned it for about 3 years now.
Surprisingly, I can actually run games like Oblivion and STALKER on here, albeit at low settings. For Oblivion I can actually get decent framerates at 1280x800 resolution on Low settings if I replace the normal maps with 2x2 dummy files xD It also ran WoW surprisingly well, and had the Geek Squad guy who replaced the hard drive (died on me after 2 years) call me a liar when I told him :P
For some reason though, it struggles with Counter Strike Source, which is something I can't figure out and didn't improve with the RAM upgrade. In firefights my frame rate will drop from whatever it was (usually anywhere from 20 to 90 depending on what else is on screen) down to single digits. This lead to me kind of specializing with the knife, since there's no muzzle flash to bog my frame rate down.
