i really hope they let us play atleast the games they showed at gdc. what else do u want out of i other than to see if it actually works?

A UK beta? =D
I think that line up would be good but tbh, from beta... it should be exactly the experience they showed. So i guess... I want beta to work.

I am willing to bet donuts that the "beta" is a staged rollout(think google and gmail invites back in the day). That way they can let people onto the service a few thousand people at a time and work out the difficulties, so they don't have a launch and have 100k new people all hitting their servers, and call centers, all at once.

More servers available than people so the service runs as well as can be expected in beta stage. This way the can do RELIABLE load tests.

Too many times (I'm looking at you my former employers Sony and MS), when it comes to beta testing an online service, they have very few servers open and experience crashes that never seem to end.

Yes, I think it would be nice... a high server to player ratio.;)

It doesn't even have to be 1:1 ratio or even 2:1. Enough to handle capacity and more just in case.
