Which Video Game Systems Do you Own?

Which consoles do you own, and do you think Onlive will replace the console in the long run?

I have the PS3 and Xbox 360. The funny thing is I only play online, so for me if Onlive is a hit it will likely prevent me from buying any more traditional systems. We'll see though once it launches.

I own a 360. I think that this would allow me to try out a lot of games that i would otherwise not play. Being a college student I don't have a ton of money to buy every game I'm interested in.

I play Gears of War 2 when I get on.

added to that, I don't see OnLive taking over consoles, however I do see it adding a new area to the market and expanding it. It could potentially take away some marketshare from the big 3, but rather than that I see it expanding into its own market area

I have a PS3, and want to play Oblivion on Onlive. That's one hope that I have that will hopefully be added.

Xbox 360, the good ol' xbox, Wii, PC(Who doesn't), microconsole(HAhaha). OnLive will kiss the consoles goodbye (Mostly Xbox Live subscribers and ps3 online users). Consoles will only be for those who can't get decent internet.

I have a PS3 (My main fix for gaming but it can see OnLive replacing it). I also have a Dremcast, PS1, Gamcube and Master System (all aquired recently as i became a game collector). Although OnLive could blow my console collection out of the water - could sell them all and all my games for a years OnLive Sub and micro console and getmyself a 32" HD Ready LCD. I'm currently playing on a 21", fairly old tv with no HD =P

I own an XBOX 360, GT: Norfolk en clue and if this onlive sevice launches in the UK I will get along side my xbox. I don't think it end all consoles in the near future but maybe in 20 years we will see it as the norm.

I am broke 24/7 and if my xbox 360 gets red rings i have no money to fix it because i got it off a guy not a retailer. If Onlive is what they say it is im sold and i think everyone who pays $300 bucks for a console and $60 for every game agrees with me that there needs to be a change and this is it.

Onlive is still going to cost money just to subscribe, and cost extra money to buy or rent games, so if money is your problem, Onlive won't solve it. I don't know what the exact charges will be or if anyone does (if anyone legitimately knows, maybe you could post the numbers) but it will not exactly be cheap. Doesn't mean it won't be super awesome though!:cool:

I could see the Onlive replacing the PS3 but not the Wii. The PS3 is fun but later all the good games for PS3 will be for Onlive also and I wont need the PS3. The only game I play on PS3 is Rock band and Guitar hero and Metal Gear Solid 4 (Mostly online) I love that game and for that game alone I will never sell my PS3 (Unless Onlive gets it xD or 5 is for Onlive). With the Wii though it wont be replaced because of all the ideas they have for it with the remote and IR thing so you can point at the screen. Until Onlive gets that the Wii will not be replace, Wii sports is to fun! xD

So far Nintendo has said they have no intention of releasing stuff on Onlive. I agree though, until Nintendo does, people are still going to play Wii.

I need an online first person shooter, so I'm going to go with Boarderlands.

I own a PS3, and I say that OnLive will NOT replace PS3. OnLive sounds great, but it needs all the big games to pull in gamers like me.

God of War 3 is not going into OnLive.
Uncharted 2 is not, either.

And some games like COD4: Modern Warfare or COD: Modern Warfare 2 is not going OnLive because OnLive not only 'bashed' them, they've indicated clearly that they don't want to do business with Activision.

And to answer your question I don't think OnLive will replace them anytime in the future and I'm not sure at all if OnLive will be the specific program to replace it, however I do suspect a program OnLive-like to replace the consoles in the future.

Of this console generation I've got an Xbox 360 and a Wii. I want a PS3, but that's going to be a ways off. I've an old-school, original run Nintendo DS, too. Of my consoles, I'd say my favorite (other then my beloved PC) is my Xbox 360. I like my Wii (I'm an old school Nintendo fanboy, so that helps), but I get more out of my Xbox day in, day out.

I'm also still playing my N64, Gamecube and Dreamcast. I actually had my original Dreamcast die a couple years ago, but my family went all over Ohio to get me a new one for Christmas last year. Can anyone tell what emotion you're supposed to feel when you get a used 10-year old game system for Christmas? I wasn't sure how to act.
