I would hope Onlive would do some type of "rent to buy" kind of deal because they are allowing users to rent games but i think that after renting for a long enough time they should just give it to you. similar to Awomo, for broke people like me, this would be a nice feature.

Thats a really unusual system but sounds quite good. Never heard of it before however it does make sense. Would you get the game if you rent it to the point where you've spent the same amount as the game cost? or would it be less?

I don't know that rent to buy would be any cheaper, because you have to keep paying to rent the game, and if you pay the fee enough times, you've spent more than what you would have if you had just bought it. I would think that they will design the rental feature to just let you see if you want to buy it or not.

It would be good because you can play the game even though you haven't payed for it fully and until you do you rent it. You can't go to Gamestop and say heres five dollars let me play it for 2 hours, you have to give them $60 up front to play. Its alot better that way you can play before you buy and get far into the game and descide whether you like it rather than play demos that get you nowhere. Especially for those people on a budget that can't afford to throw away $60 right away can play and pay over time. Its another way you leave the customers in control, if your happy their happy as long as they get their $60 dollars
