Ok, the site should now look different.
If not, pop down to the skin chooser and select "OnLiveFans"
The skin chooser is in the bottom left of your screen.
You can for the interim select "OnLiveFansOld" to see how it looked (search is the broken non Google version there though) and flip between them to provide me with feedback and issues you may find on the new skin.
Cheers!
(For reasons too dull to explain you will eventually have to use the new skin, so speak now about your issues with it)

Personally..I like the dull orange looking old site better. This new solid really bright orange with the black background....I dunno..it isn't bad but I guess my eyes will just have to adjust.

I was wondering why after I finish typing something seemed different.

You might just have to adjust. I have already adjusted and now the old looks way too dull. The new one makes it easier to read and everything.

If you were to change the orange back to the old shade and keep all the other changes you made (which I now see when comparing both sites to eachother)...I think that would be grand..or at least make that one a different template option ;)

Just did that and I still would have to say the white text is much easier for me to see on the old skin.

I've only seen it on my tablet so far and don't see a huge difference, I'll have to do a proper comparison when I get home. One thing that I've seen happen for a while so that when I click a link in a subscription email it takes me to the first page instead of the end or the post that sent the email. I know that's a little more complex than the theme though.

A lot better, matches The Theme of The OnLive Client a lot better.

I actually really like the new brighter black. It makes a big difference when looking at the homepage, the text sticks out a lot more IMO. I also hope that one day all of the site's different branches will have the same style in some ways. Right now if you look at the 3 different sections they each vary on which style they are using. I just think a more consistent look across all sections will make the site feel more "complete". I could see how each have their own different look might be a good thing too, comes down to opinion I guess. lol
Anyhow, the new theme looks great, nice job AdyCarter!

Usually I don't like website changes (Google being indecisive about their homepage!!!), but this looks very nice! good job Ady!

The new skin is good. More fresh and modern.
Any chance you can change the "Follow us on..." tabs Twitter and Youtube icon to make them match the G+ one? It really looks weird with all the pointless white background.

Can you clear your browser cache?
(They aren't great icons, but I see no white)

i agree. and this text box i am writing in now is completely black and so is my text so i am typing blind as we speak.. the only way i can read what i say is if i highlight my text in this field to make it all blue/white
i thiought the site looked it's best a few days ago.

Browser & OS please, there should be no black on black and you're the first to mention it.
*Can you try clearing browser cache too please, its possible these something nefarious happening due to that
(before anyone asks why change anything, the old skin would never ever have survived forum upgrades)

Like the new look. The text pops out more with the brighter background, and the colors look better too.

After testing on my proper computer I do like the new theme a little better. I'm not sure what brash's problem is, I'm typing in a black box, but the text is white, it's actually easier on my eyes than most white web sites.

Mow, Ctrl shift and del. Clear your cache they aren't even the current icons. The server seems to be trying its hardest to keep images cacched for some reason.

how long you plan to keep this? please don't make it a habit, not saying that its ugly (I really REALLY like it). But it takes time for me to get use to this little things.
Edit: Forgive my un-know-ing-ness, but I just release this : COLOR
you know what, forget what I said, I'm starting to like these COLOR. Keep changing it....
I edit this damn post four times and at the end I changed my mind...that tells you how quick I can change my mind....

I like it a lot so far.
Two things,
1) Post text would be easier to read if the standard color was in white and not a grey.
2) Forum Icons need some smoother edges,

the first pic shows just what most of the text area's look like..
in the 2nd phto i show you that the text is mostly black and has some reddish tint that looks like lines.. which seems random. most of the time, when i type it's all black..
in the bottom half of that same picture i show you how i must highlight my text to read what i've written so far

this is the only website that does this
and it only started just when he changed the format and asked us.
everything is standard on my end..

aside from as I pointed out via my SS you have an older version of Opera.
Can you take a screen shot (at a useful size) of the forum homepage, preferably with the "Follow Us On..." box showing.

i think i might know what it is..
I have the settings disabled for allowing websites to "style" pages and a lot of extra fluff is turned off to keep it more basic.
if that's the case then this is the first time i saw something negative come out of that
brash
01-09-2012, 08:56 AM
yep that's it. now it's white text on black field..
i checkmarked "enable styling of forms" for the settings on this website in particular and refreshed the page and now it's showing correctly
pro - this is easier on the eyes then black on white text field
con - the downside is that users that mod "styling" in their browsers like i do can't see the page correctly.. which makes it less open to the world than it's older, more simplified method
overall = i like your new method. it's easier to read as i'm typing

interesting, most browsers don't even have an option for that. You'd think it'd override the entire styling though rather than leaving you black on black.
Glad its sorted.
