OnLiveFans Style Changes & New Mobile Style

Hey guys. Thanks to AdyCarter we have rejuvenated the OnLiveFans.com forum style. You will notice some new images, and the forum should be loading a bit faster.

We also would like to announce the new Mobile style which is useable on your smartphones. Simply scroll to the bottom of the site and click on the dropdown menu on the left hand side. Then choose OLFMobile.

Once we're sure I haven't screwed it up, we'll get it so anyone visiting the sites with a mobile device gets that as default, that includes the Android App users too!

Is their a way to skin the mobile site? Cause it's pretty ugly with those colors.

I might turn the blue into orange or similar, but it needs to be massively light on bandwidth and images.

Agreed, getting the OLF black and orange skin would go a LONG way on that mobile style. It's great though!

I'll see if I can make it a bit more colourful though, I had tried black/orange earlier and it look horrific on a small screen due to contrast issues. Will see what I can cobble together later.

I just viewed it on my Droid RAZR with the mobile enabled and it looks the same as the non mobile site..just with no color or feeling to it. I would personally still use the regular theme on mobile. But to each there own. PS..I am also using the Dolphin Browser so I dunno if that means anything at all.

Nicer. It's a great addition to the site; however I will still be accessing the site using the default theme on my phone. It just looks so much better even on the phone ;)

Yeah many people will, a lot of it depends on your phone and personal preference. This is aimed more at the people who like things such as tapatalk and gives them a nice free alternative.

Revised version is now live, I still have my doubts about that orange though. Too bright?

Hmm, after using this on the live version of the forums for 30 mins or so, I think I actually prefer it to Tapatalk for my phone

I LOVE the new style however scrolling down the threads is laggin like crazy for me now. Not crazy crazy but its pretty laggy compared to how it used to be.

Ok, I'll set up a VM later and see if I can replicate the issue. Chrome on Win7x64 here and not noticing it myself. Did it it used to occur before but to a lesser degree too?

Nope, this is the first time ive noticed a consistent lag issue on this site.

Okay I'll see what I can do. Can you also try doing a full cache clear on chrome? (CTRL + Shift + Del) to see if that helps.

Anyone else getting the issue?

Today the site seemed a tiny bit less laggy than it was for me yesterday. I just now did the cache clearing thing and it didnt do make any change at all. =p Its still pretty laggy while scrolling down posts and stuff.

Havent touched the colours, they've been the same for god knows how long as I dare not incur the wrath of many, I don concur the contrast is an issue though.

I think long term we might end up with an entire new skin, but that'll come after the board ugprade
