Being idle for longer periods mark threads as read

It is pretty annoying.

If I open a thread and forget to close it while I'm off to shop groceries or whatever, when I come back all threads on the forum are marked as read.

Not necessarily as read, but once you hit "what's new" it automatically assumes that if in those, (lets say 15 minutes) you didn't open those threads is because you weren't interested in them, therefore it only shows you the ones that have been recently updated...

I don't know if there's any way to fix that or if it even needs fixing, to be honest...

The one thing that I do if I will not be using the computer for long periods of time but I still want to know what's going on with the threads is simply hitting my back button, which will take me to the search results page and there I can read every thread that I need before clicking "what's new" to check up updated threads

I don't think it should be "fixed", because then you will end up with a bunch of unread threads that you couldn't care less about.

But thanks for the suggestion. I guess the What's New page will do the job just fine. Never thought about it before. :)
