Taken from a post on onliveinformer.com's forums that directed a link to an article in our forum. Apparently we have nothing but misinformation here on onlivefans.com. Sounds like someone is jealous.

I think that onliveinformer is a great site that also loves onlive and is a great addition to the onlive comunity.

I think that this forum has the best connections to the "ins and outs" of Onlive. <--Period

Ive been to their forums and i havent seen anything different and even less information.
I follow them on facebook and twitter tho just cuz im a huge OnLive fan, i have no problem with them and i dont give a crap if they have a problem with my preferred fan site. =p

Tig hasn't left us for good. He still creates new accounts here from time to time. I personally like the guy, it's just ashame he couldn't follow the rules here after repetitive warnings, and then asked to be banned I believe.

First off you did break the rules of this site by not even bothering to post anything about the topic. This was/is in my opinion a blatant attempt to direct traffic away from this site.

We posted an article about it here as well. Secondly the game HAS NOT I repeat NOT been confirmed to be coming to OnLive! They are in the process of making it work with OnLive, but anyone who has been around for more than 5 minutes knows that plenty of games are still missing that were coming to Onlive months ago!

You are doing a good job on this website, if onlive gets big, you COULD get rich. I would run it like you mean to make a profit second, because you like onlive 1st. But never forget the 2nd.

I normally dont get involved in this type of stuff, but the people who have been banished from this site more or less brought it upon themselves and are not victims of the circumstance.

That's good to hear. I honestly do not understand why any sort of rivalry needs to exist here. We're both on the same side in the end, so why do certain members of both forums feel the need to badmouth the other? It is childish and illogical.

Hey guys, I just wanted to address this thread from OnLive Informer's perspective. We're not in this to compete with OnLiveFans. I don't think Glenn or Eddie want this kind of rivalry happening between their sites. Both are just looking to support OnLive as best they can.

Let me quickly address what happened on our forums. A new 1-hit wonder came over and posted a single linkback here to OnLive Fans. Normally we don't have a problem with that: Totally cool and welcome.

However the poster didn't add any relevant information or substance to his post, just a link. Some forums are cool with that, but we ask people to contribute at least a little effort if they're going to take the time out. Just a general courtesy, nothing more or less. Glenn saw that and wrote his message to the user.

About Glenn stating that the game was never coming out, or that OLF was "lying" - That's just not true and blowing things out of proportion to create conflict (this thread's title is clear evidence of that). Glenn said they're working on it with no timeline for release. Well, in terms of how that process works with OnLive we (and I say this collectively) don't really know when or how that will filter down to the end user. He had no intention of trying to say OLF was lying about anything, just expressing his opinion based on his experience with OnLive. Again nothing more, nothing less.

I can emphatically tell you guys that Glenn has no impression of or desire to state that OnLiveFans is doing anything but providing solid news and community support for OnLive. So any talk of "conflict" or "rivalry" that is supposed to exist between the two sites is exactly that, talk.

To be candid with you guys, we're the same as you and only interested in seeing OnLive grow. OLF or OLI it doesn't matter. For one to succeed does not mean the other must fail. So if other people feel differently and want to take these thing out of proportion, well that's not really what OLI is about and we don't think OLF is about that either.

Hope that clarifies OnLive Informer's position a little.

I'll just say that I try not to consider it my place to decide what people are entitled to talk about. One of my previous moderating gigs was for a place called wiihacks.com, and that's a forum of 600,000+ users. If there's anything I learned from that experience it's that people are going to say what they're going to say. Some of it's going to help make things better and some of it isn't. At the end of the day it's the intentions and integrity of the website as a whole that matters most. That's my personal perspective and creed, at least, that I try to aspire to in my online life.

I agree Tig was a funny guy. He was an informative poster as well, but he couldn't obey some pretty simple rules. We gave him many chances, and I really hoped that he would have learned from the warnings, but I guess it wasn't in her personality to obey rules.

Basically, after reading what Glen supposedly wrote, there was no reason to take it as saying that we were lying. That is nothing more than a mistake on what the post actually meant. I also agree, even if you do post on our behalf for whatever reason, don't break THEIR rules while doing it. They are basically the same site we are doing the same thing. You will have those who go from one to another after being banned and talking shit about the other forum. This is a common thing. However, they aren't competition. It's not a contest and there really is nothing to gain. Remember, we are FAN sites. OnLive doesn't pay anyone. They might help out with contests and give us some playpass codes to give out but we aren't being paid. Btw, YES, we do in fact give out those codes as we get them. We don't use them ourselves.

In short, we need to get along with the other site. While I don't think a merger is a good idea, as I've stated before, we can all learn from each other. We give them leads on news through our stories and they do the same. In the end, we are all one big OnLive family. I have quite a few of them on my friends list and would easily welcome more. I urge you all to do the same.
