viewing the onlive discussion forums right now so you know they must have interest in onlive, but all i ever see is the same few of us posting messages. Are people just scared to post around here? I would love for more people to join in and liven this place up a bit.

I lurk. But I've seen the number of guests at insane numbers (1600 guests right now) while there are so few (relatively) members on (36). Makes me wonder too!

All those other people are just really good at using the search function and find what they need :)

Most of the "people online" but not registered are search engine spiders.

All for using the search engine, but if everyone just used the search engine and didnt post i wouldnt want to be here. I spend alot of time here because of the community. I think that the "use the search engine" get a little over used sometimes. If a new person come here and needs help (unless its completely obvious), Help the person out. Some people sound like complete dicks, coming into a thread just to say use the search engine. When it would take just as much time to lend a hand. And then say," maybe search for it, i know its been posted alot."

I was kidding, and I agree with you 100% about just helping instead of giving people crap.

It is search engines. Not real people.

2500 now :), still they're as Warren said spiders, damn things breed like crazy. I think someone must be leaving some miracle growth in the chat box of a night since they seem to enjoy looking at the archive.

This is the way forums work. About 10% of people who view a forum sign up for it and are often brought in by search engines and external links. About 10% of those people will post semi-regularly and 10% of those will post nonstop.

They just lurk in the shadows, waiting to join; those who are not really there, are spiders in the darkness, hiding, waiting, taunting the human scum, the words we write out, they will see, they will choose the best structured word alignment for the most interested search functions. They are; THE SPIDER BOTS!!
DUN DUN DUUUNNN!

While there are some spider bots, there are actually more guests/members not logged in (no cookies enabled), lurking and reading the forums without posting.
Here is an idea: We should have another forum competition here. Someone with a free PlayPass should start a topic and randomly select a winner out of all first time posters in this thread. I bet we would get some more people signed up. What do you think about this? Who has a PlayPass to give away?

They read every post on here and say "Wow these people are just assholes and failure trolls", that's why they aren't posting.
That's at least my reason for not posting, I see nothing but negativity and racism on here. Cannot believe OnLive has anything to do with OnLivefans, or even listens to their opinions about anything. All you guys have is a large fan base of whiny kids about lag, their terrible connections, and how release dates aren't set.

Well, everything I said is true. No matter how many unoriginal pictures you post, it's true. That's why I'm not active, and that's why no one else wants to be active. Everything here gets looked upon as stupid. Steve Perlman's ideas are innovative, and still, post something against the usual, and you get hated on for it. For an OnLive forum, there is a surprisingly high population of people against the service. Oh, and this site is just a damn eyesore.
I'm sticking with Cloudiem,

Look at everything I have posted. Quick go look I'll wait. Show me where I'm trolling and whining? Edit: on second thought, go look at the forums and calculate in your head how many good posts n threads are way more here than bad posts n threads.

That would be just like pouring acid on my eyes, I can't stand to look at this terrible board. The only posts and threads that are good on here are posts about free shit, and news, which I could just get from my twitter feed, or g+, or OnLive's website. Everything else is just kiddies saying how their favorite game wasn't released on time, it's not coming to OnLive, or the price.

Yep that's almost exactly what I thought you would say. It seems as if you are just another one of them guys.. I believe you are the troll. If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. Please and thanks :)

The forum does contain on average more adults than kids (Thought that needed to be mentioned), however a fansite shouldn't be just a place for constant praise of a service. If Onlive always got praise it wouldn't be able to adapt/grow/change into a better service in the future, if that was the case Onlive would fail extremely fast and be yet another piece of technology that inevitably gets frozen in time and doesn't resurface for years. I will concur that a lot of the threads and posts are oriented on games/price etc... but you have to remember that the best news we've had come in for the past few months was at E3 and the interview that Admin(Eddie) got with Steve Perlman; so there isn't really much to talk about besides those things.
Also you can change the forums template/look in the main settings. First go to the top right and click on settings, then click on General Settings on the bottom left and then scroll down the the bottom until you get to "Forum Skin". There are (Besides main) two white background and a default one.

Well since you say it's time to start posting, here I am! :-)
I'm Jasza, from Poland, 21 years old. Subscribed to the playpack recently and already bought Splinter Cell and Hawx 2, thanks to the Ubisoft deals. I will surely buy
My gamer tag is the same as my username on this forum.
PS. Some people should really chill out, we're talking about games, there's no reason for negativity.
Peace.

XaTiOn, if you see any racism, please inform the mods, we will take care of it, good thing about the mod and admin team is that we are not a bunch of kids, we take these things seriously :)
unless you just want to promote the other website (which in this case will count as a warning), but there's no reason to bash the users on this forum

I heard there was someone giving out play passes to lurkers? I went through the effort of logging in so can you hook me up? (Shouldn't have to qualify this but yes I'm joking)

See, it worked with one lurker already!
I still think when Admin gets another PlayPass from OnLive for free, he should give it out to a randomly chosen first time poster. Like a signup bonus.
